Job Description and Qualifications

Diagnostic/Imaging

Operate equipment to produce diagnostic image sand assist radiologist or physician with special procedures. Prepare equipment and patients for diagnostic studies and therapeutic procedures.Operate fixed and portable radiographic equipment

 

MRI Tech

Perform MRI procedures. Operate imaging equipment, computer and other department equipment. Maintain and operate equipment in accordance with department and manufactures recommendations. Prepare and maintain written or computerized documentation in accordance with department, hospital and state requirements. Maintain and exhibit a current knowledge of MRI technology. Participate in professional continuing educational workshops and programs. Provide patient care to patients while in the MRI Department. Is cooperative and helpful in a clear and courteous manner to patients, visitors, physicians, staff and co-workers.

 

Certified Rad Tech

Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of radiographic equipment to make radiographs of designated body portions in accordance with radiation safety procedures. Positioning patients, assisting radiologists during angiographic and interventional procedures, operating fluoroscopic equipment, setting up sterile trays and other equipment, assist radiologist during procedure with the handling of instruments as well as the operating and monitoring equipment and alerting the physician to changes in patient condition

Ultrasound Tech

Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and assist radiologist in interpretation of all procedures to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric pt populations, demonstrating competency based upon the area of assignment. Transport patients, as required, to ensure procedures are not delayed. Verify physicians orders before starting procedure to ensure appropriateness/accuracy.

 

Limited X-Ray Tech

Under the direction of the Radiologist, perform a variety of diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with established protocols for patient ages. Detect adverse symptomology relating to procedure or contrast related problems. Responsible for maintaining expert technical and patient care skills to provide quality diagnostic results. Responsible for supply/inventory management, and or image processing and RIS/PACS management.
