Job Description and Qualifications

Cardio-Vascular Tech

Responsible for all physiologic monitoring and recording, patient care and safety, and physician assistance in the performance of echocardiogram procedures. At the direction of the clinical manager, and under the guidance of the performing doctor, independently performs all exams in the Cardiac Cath Lab and the Special Procedures Lab without
supervision. Serve as a positive role model, while working in collaboration with all levels of
departmental personnel.

 

Medical Lab Tech

Maintain laboratory materials in an orderly manner. Research and Development bench work (formula, stability, basic analytical tests, pH, viscosity, specific gravity). Maintain filing system for research materials and various projects. Prepare and package sample products for clients, alpha and beta testers. Micro testing support (if qualified. Exercise proper use of equipment, such as mixer, homogenizer, balance, pH meter, viscometer, hot plate.

 

 

Phlebotomist

Perform blood draws, Label tubes, transport specimens, process specimens, perform mobile phlebotomy services, adhere to Universal Precautions Guidelines.

Clinical Lab Scientist

Responsible for analysis in the following departments: Microbiology, Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urine/Serology, or Blood Bank .Under limited supervision,
incumbent(s) will use their training in medical technology to perform clinical lab testing and/or other scientific examinations. Required to work independent of immediate supervision and assume the initiative for prompt and accurate performance of tests with appropriate documentation and proper notification of abnormal results. This is considered an entry level position and is the first of a two level job family.

 

Specimen Processor

Key areas of responsibility for supervising all aspects of the collection and urinalysis procedures through daily interaction with clinic staff and patients. Compile a list of the patient’s medication by consulting his or her medical chart. Collect demographic information from the patient such as age, weight, height, gender, and last medication
was administered. Process sample from patient, clearly labeling the sample and requiring the patient to sign the label. Prepare shipping documentation and properly packing sample for UPS pick up. Take inventory of sampling supplies and ordering when necessary. Maintain a high level of accuracy in all documentation.
